Loan Periods

Books and most other library materials check out for two weeks. Video and DVDs check out for seven days. Ask library staff about item limits.

Renewals

If you need a library item for a longer time, you may renew most materials online, or by calling or coming in before the due date; please have your library card with you. Materials for which others are waiting cannot be renewed.

Overdue Materials

There are no overdue fines at Newport Library, but others will appreciate your timely return of materials. You will be reminded of overdue items by phone or letter. Should an item become six weeks overdue, you will be billed for it and charged a processing fee.

Returning Materials

You may return materials belonging to Oceanbook Network libraries at whichever participating library is most convenient for you.
