The library offers substantial reference resources, in both print and electronic formats. Staff at the downstairs reference desk will be happy to help you find the materials and information you need.

Virtual Library Services

• Ask a librarian! Newport reference staff will answer your questions by email or telephone as soon as possible.
  
  
• Request an item through Interlibrary Loan. Library staff can order materials that are not found in our catalog. We charge $3.00 for each item borrowed from outside Lincoln County. In-county loans, from the Toledo, Siletz, Waldport, and Oregon Coast Community College libraries, are free.
• Talk to an Oregon librarian online 24/7 using L-net.

Reserves

If an item in the catalog is not available at our library, you may place a reserve on it. We will notify you when the item becomes available.

Free Photocopies

You may make up to five photocopies from non-circulating reference materials without charge.

Internet and Computers

Computers are available for Internet research, e-mail, and word processing. Wireless Internet access is also available. Please read the Guidelines for Internet Use for more information.
