Malone, Attorney at Law, on behalf of Oregon Coast Alliance, Michael Peterson, and the Landing at Newport Condominium Assn. The City Council has choices on how to proceed with the appeal. The Council may elect to accept the Planning Commission's decision as final and not hear the appeal. If the Council chooses to conduct a hearing, they may either do so on the record, restricitng the hearing to material that is already in the record and no additional information will be accepted; or they may proceed with a full evidentiary hearing. A decision by the City Council on the course of the action will be made at their June 3, 2013, meeting. If the Council chooses to hold a hearing, it will be held on June 17, 2013.
