Speciality Classes

Beginning Argentine Tango - Lesson & Practice

Sundays, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
$5.00 drop-in - First class is free
Instructor: George Fosmire
Liven up your night with Tango! First hour will be a class for beginners to get them out on the dance floor learning Argentine Tango. This will be followed by a two hour ‘practica’ from 3:00 to 5:00 (practice dancing with all levels of tango dancers – help available on request). New students are always welcome.


MIXED MEDITATION

Wednesdays, 5:30 – 6:30 am

Life gets busy and stressful from time to time. Being able to find calm and peace is key to getting through these times. Learn basics of Meditation using breathing techniques, simple movement, and visualization.

BELLY DANCE!

Thu. 5:30pm – 6:45pm
$12/class
Shimmy and roll your way into a greater level of fitness and artistry with belly dance!
Led by champion dancer, international performer, Tehani, this course covers classical Egyptian and Turkish belly dance, American tribal style and fusion. All levels are welcome.

 

LEARN TO HULA!

Sat. 9:30am – 10:30am

Sway your hips to the exotic sounds of Hawaiian Hula with Tehani! Covering Hula Kahiko (ancient, regimented form) and Hula Auana (contemporary, loose graceful form), we will learn hula step basics for each form, light oli (chant), traditional musical rhythms and routines. Hawaiian cultureand mythology will be briefly discussed throughout the class. This course is aworkout, but very low impact compared to other world dance forms.

Each class you will take home a specific finished project. Instructor Lisa Hall draws from her experience from owning a scrapbooking shop, and loads of fun materials in her personal stock.
