Borrow a "human book" for a one-on-one conversation. Hear their stories, ask questions, broaden your mind and find some common ground.

Our collection of "human books" presents a diverse, fascinating, and inspiring range of life experiences. To see which titles are available, flip through tthe program to read more about each book.
How do I check out a book?
Stop by the Newport Recreation Center Multipurpose Room 124 on Saturday, September 23rd. See which titles are available. First come, first served.
How long can I check out a book?
Each session runs for a maximum of 30 minutes.
Do I have to stay for the entire 30 minutes?
Either the borrower of the human book can end the session at any time at their own discretion.
What if I run out of questions to ask?
Not to worry. We'll have a list of sample questions available to readers at the event. Our staff will also be on hand to help.
