Summer Music Series

 

Our 2024 Summer Music Series!



The Music Series is FREE, open to the public, and held on various dates and times throughout the summer. This program is proudly sponsored by the Newport Public Library Foundation and City of Newport.

Bring chairs, blankets, and the whole family to enjoy an afternoon of music, community, and fun. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the concert will relocate indoors to the McEntee Meeting Room.

Tsunami Zone is an eclectic collaboration of newfound musical friends, each bringing their unique influences and passions to create an unforgettable musical experience. The band blends Rock, R&B, Blues, Country, Soul, Pop, Latin, and more, ensuring a diverse and lively performance that will have everyone dancing, smiling, singing along, and simply having a good time.

Kathy Redwine

Kathy Redwine, a native Oregonian, brings a wealth of musical experience to the stage, with 17 years of living and performing in Nashville and 26 years of songwriting. Her music, a heartfelt blend of Americana, folk, and songwriter genres, promises to captivate audiences with honest, fun, and emotionally resonant original songs, alongside familiar covers that invite sing-alongs. Kathy will be accompanied by her friends, Don Nelson on bass, and Rian Martinsen on cajon and percussion, creating a rich and engaging musical tapestry.

This talented ensemble promises an afternoon of toe-tapping tunes and soulful melodies.

Linda Yapp is a beloved children’s musician whose songs promote peace, kindness, and respect for all living things. Founder of the Nye Beach Montessori School in 1983, Linda has long been inspired by the children she’s taught and by her travels to places like Hawai’i and Baja. Her performances bring joy and inspiration to audiences across the Northwest.
