Special Projects
Kit O'Carra, a former NPD Records Clerk who semi-retired in June of 2013, is now responsible for Special Projects on a part-time basis. Her duties include developing and creating the Department's Annual Report, recruitment, creating videos, flyers and brochures for special events, public service announcements, and ordering promotional materials. She is the liaison between NPD and our Volunteers.
Kit is the webmaster for the NPD pages of the City's website, as well as the face behind the scenes of our social media pages, which include Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. She also assists with the Citizens' Police Academy, and provides a presentation to the Academy on Social Media in Law Enforcement. Her experience in law enforcement spans more than 22 years, serving as a police officer, dispatcher, and records clerk, to her current position.
