Technical Rescue Team
Newport Fire Department is one of several departments locally that are members of the Lincoln County Technical Rope Rescue Team. The team is comprised of three divisions that all work together to perform technical rescues all over Lincoln County. This team is activated by any of the emergency service agencies in the county to assist as needed. Monthly drills are done all over the county where members are able to practice in the areas we serve. With the recent completion of the first in-house training for new members, the team is up to 22 members with the goal of reaching 30.
