Public Education
Newport Fire Department gets a chance to educate children in Grades K-3 in our district. Many of the preschools also contact us for fire prevention education. Every year NFD participates in National Fire Prevention Week, where fire service personnel and educators across the country team up to bring fire safety messages into the classroom. NFD conducts home fire safety education to civic and neighborhood groups, participates in local media broadcasts and incorporates fire safety education into every inspection.
